⏱️ Do Follow-Ups Send Automatically or Manually in PodPitch?

Follow-up emails in PodPitch do send automatically — but only when your campaign is in Smart Mode. Here’s how it works:

Smart Mode (Automated Follow-Ups)

When your campaign is set to Smart, PodPitch will automatically:

  • Send follow-up emails based on the delay you set (eg, 3 days, 7 days, etc.)

  • Stop follow-ups immediately if the podcast host replies

  • Respect sending limits and business-day settings

  • Pause follow-ups if your email disconnects or has OAuth/authentication issues

You do NOT need to manually trigger follow-up sends.

As long as Smart Mode is active and your email is connected, PodPitch handles everything.

Manual Mode (Follow-Ups Must Be Sent Manually)

In Manual Mode, PodPitch will not send follow-ups automatically.

You must:

  • Open each follow-up email

  • Review or edit if needed

  • Click Send or Send Later

This mode is best if you prefer full control or hyper-personalized outreach.

🔍 Why Follow-Ups May Not Be Sending

If you expect follow-ups to send but don’t see them going out, check these common causes:

  • ❗ OAuth / email authentication expired

  • ❗ Campaign status = Off / Paused

  • ❗ Follow-up templates are missing or empty

  • ❗ Daily sending limits reached

  • ❗ Start time is set for a later date/time

  • ❗ Weekend sending disabled

Fixing these will resume automatic follow-ups.

💡 Pro Tip

Follow-ups only send if the host has not replied.

Once a reply comes in — even “Not interested” — the sequence stops to avoid spamming them.
