How to Use Negative Keywords to Improve Campaign Relevancy

Negative keywords help you exclude irrelevant categories from your podcast campaigns. By adding them to your profile, you train the system to filter out poor matches and focus on podcasts that truly fit your goals.

Step 1: Edit Your Profile Settings

  1. Go to your Profile Settings.

  2. Click the Edit button.

  3. Scroll down to Box #3 (Categories).

Step 2: Add Negative Keywords

  1. Paste your negative keywords into Box #3.
⚠️ Important: Each entry should be written as a complete sentence.

    • Example: “Do not include categories related to sports betting.”

Step 3: Apply to Your Campaigns

  1. Save your settings.

  2. Go back to your campaign.

  3. When you click Add More Podcasts, negative keywords will take effect.

    • This ensures new podcasts added to your campaign respect the updated exclusions.

Step 4: Skip or Rate Podcasts for Extra Precision

If a podcast still isn’t the right fit, you can:

  • Skip it → provide a reason so the system learns.

  • Rate it (e.g., 2/10) → helps refine relevancy in future campaigns.

Together with negative keywords, these actions continuously improve the quality of your results.

💡 Tip: The fewer irrelevant categories you allow in, the shorter and more focused your list becomes — saving time while boosting outcomes.
