There are two ways to set this up depending on whether you are an Admin User or a Normal User.

🏆 Case 1: If You’re a Microsoft Admin User

This is the fastest and recommended setup method because it instantly enables PodPitch access for your entire organization.

✔️ Step-by-Step for Admins

  1. Log in to PodPitch
    Use your Microsoft admin email.

  2. Go to Settings in PodPitch
Navigate to Settings → Email → Email Settings (if connecting your email) or simply authenticate at login.

  3. Authenticate With Microsoft
Approve PodPitch when Microsoft asks for permission.

  4. (Optional) Remove Your Admin Email
You may remove your admin email from the "Connected Emails" list after authentication if you don’t plan to use it for pitching.

  5. Team Members Can Now Log In
Once an admin has authenticated, all users in your organization can now sign in with their Microsoft work emails — no extra approvals needed.

💡 Why This Works

An admin authentication tells Microsoft:
“This app is safe for everyone in my organization.”

That removes login barriers and avoids approval prompts for the entire team.

👤 Case 2: If You’re a Normal User (Non-Admin)

You can sign in with Microsoft — but you’ll need approval from an admin.

✔️ Step-by-Step for Non-Admins

  1. Try Logging In With Your Microsoft Email

  2. You’ll see a message:
“Approval Required: Your admin must authorize this application.”

  3. Notify an Admin
They must approve your login request.

  4. Admin Approves in the Microsoft Admin Portal

  5. Once approved, you can log in normally.

📌 Important Notes

  • Whenever possible, have an admin authenticate first — it removes friction for the whole team.

  • After initial setup, users won’t need repeated approvals.

  • Admins can simplify all future Microsoft logins by authenticating once inside PodPitch.
